so i am bargaining that people check this comm for updates, i have a few questions surrounding the departure of our doppelgangers:

1. whoever knows of elena's departure, are they going to be doing a network post any time soon to let the cast know? or is this being handwaved as them having told the cast already? (and when would they have told them?)

2. who would be the person who knows elena is gone?

3. who would be the person who knows katherine is gone?

because i know i'd like to get caroline out and about right now, but i can't without knowing what's going on. any help would be appreciated! ♥

i think ric and jenna know that elena's gone, but i don't think sarah was going to have jenna publicly announce it. i'm not sure about ally and ric. i'm guessing damon and stefan would've noticed, too, but afaik no one had planned a network post. i could be wrong, of course, i just haven't heard rumblings about it.

as far as katherine... i'm not sure, really? she and mason weren't exactly close or anything, so he probably wouldn't notice.

i figured the parental figures and the boyfriends would know. :p i'm just not sure if the rest of the cast knows?

i've only seen one plurk about it, but i wanted to triple check because i hate posting on top of people / ruining plans and the like with posts that are sort of similar to what they want to do. i'm in the same position as you, so, if that's the common theme - that there was no planned network post - then that's cool and i can play caroline already knowing. if not, then it's still cool. i wasn't planning on making a post, but it's difficult to move on with things if someone was planning it.

I'm making a Damon post for sometime in the next couple of days. he wont publicly announce anything but he'd ping people to let them know/see if they noticed.

damon would know katherine is gone as well. he was collecting petrovas, you see.

brilliant! i wanted to know if anyone was since it's been a few days after the jump - and because i wanted to do a post regarding something - so i'll definitely wait for damon's.

Nobody tells Klaus anything for good reason but this is one thing I would actually like him to know (because tbh I will probably forget that he doesn't know if it goes on for much longer). So I guess this is just a request for whoever makes a post not to lock him from it, if possible. Or for someone to mention it to him later if it's not a public post.

ric definitely knows about elena but like jenna isn't going to be announcing it to the ship at large because it hurts to admit it.

i do think jenna has told kirk about katherine + elena leaving, but that's it as far as things i know for sure on this.
